Jane Moore works mostly in encaustics and oils, painting landscapes and portraits. Some of her encaustic portraits reference the Fayum portraits of Egypt. She studied art at Washingon University, University of Missouri, the Cleveland Institute of Art, and the Corcoran Museum. Her modern influences and instructors have included Daniel Greene, David Dunlop, David Leffel, and Francisco Benitez.
